I caught wind of this artwork from my buddies over at Geekadelphia (Via an Edgar Mueller post by Eric) and was honestly amazed. The time, effort, and attention to detail that goes into every inch of Julian’s works is simply amazing. If you get a spare moment I highly suggest you take a look at these pieces.

Shiny Toy Guns - “Ghost Town”
A little less keyboard-based atmospheres and a little more guitar-based forcefulness (at least in terms of the singles) than the last record. Definitely darker and more mature, but still not a complete move left-of-center. Sisley Treasure is a competent vocalist, but I’ll always have the biggest crush on Carah AND her voice.
I’ll be damned if this doesn’t get lodged in your brain, though.
I gotta agree here Jay. Sisley may not be Carah but she’s not half bad. Catchy song, but Im still not sold that this is the same ol Shiny Toy Guns that I fell in love with. Guess Ill have to give the rest of the album a listen.

So you all know that fun little micro-blogging / social network fun that is Twitter right? Well someone there made a little oopsie!! 186 applicants (myself included) for a “Business Product Manager” position were sent a very polite “rejection” email stating that they have decided to go with another candidate, etc etc, and thanked us for our interest. I found this quite nice as most companies do not usually send you a response if you aren’t selected, they just simply never contact you at all. Well, in the wake of being so kind, it seems they mis-typed the email addresses of every applicant (and referal) into the CC field rather then the BCC field!!!!!! ZOMG 186 email addresses released accidentally!!!! What happened next? Hilarity ensued. Their HR dept apologized, their CEO sent an apology, and I made a bunch of new Twitter friends. Hell maybe we can even spark some good Collaboration out of this little fluke? Who knows?

FOTC - “Too Many Dicks on the Dance Floor” Oh man. Was hanging out with the boys last night and decided to watch some Flight of the Conchords. Let me just say that I almost pee’d myself after watching this. They are SOOO damn good at catching you off guard with their ridiculously awesome songs that embed themselves in your head and refuse to leave. Well done FOTC!!!!
